Carpenter

Department: Construction Support
Location: Rosemount, MN

Dakota Unlimited (a division of Dakota Fence Company, along with 3D Specialties, Sign Solutions USA, Dakota Playground, Park & Play USA, Town &Country Fence and DFC Property Management) is a growing fence contractor primarily involved in residential/commercial fence, gates and automated gate systems. We provide services to homeowners, commercial businesses, and government entities. Shift and Time: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Day Shift (Seasonal)

Summary:

  • Assist Foreman in all aspects of wood fence installation
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand the requirements
  • Take measurements and calculate the material needed
  • Trim sections of fencing to the appropriate size
  • Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials
  • Join, raise, and secure fence segments in place
  • Check for gaps and vulnerabilities, make corrections as needed
  • Build fences using raw materials or pre-constructed items
  • Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance
  • Maintain excellent customer service and positive company image
  • Operate various hand and power tools, skid steers, air hammers, and/or forklifts
  • Safely operate company vehicles
  • Work outdoors in diverse weather conditions
  • Follow all safety and environmental policies of Dakota Unlimited
